It’s that time of year again – Christmas in July! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is my, and every other blogger’s, favorite sale of the year, but there is definitely a downside when it comes to sales like this one. I tend to buy more than I need, and a great deal leads to an impulsive buy of something I wasn’t even looking for or something that will collect dust after one wear. I promised myself at the start of this year that I wouldn’t waste my money on impractical items, which resulted in my thorough search of the sale this year. So, here I bring you the best of the best for the upcoming fall season. I don’t like the idea of summer ending, but it’s better to be prepared, right?
Of course, I’ve got to start with the shoes. I’ve found that the best deals are in the shoe section, so if there’s anything I’ll buy it’ll be a new pair of shoes. Each year, I buy about 3 or 4 pairs for the cooler months. I already ordered THESE in black, THESE in grey, and THESE in black. I own THESE mules from last year and highly recommend them. I may get them in the caramel color too. Last year I really loved a brown or black shoe, but I’m noticing that I’m wanting everything in grey or a blush/nude variation for this fall.
After shoes, I always look into outerwear. I saw this TOPSHOP CARDI and bought it immediately because I knew it would sell out quickly, which it did. Don’t get disappointed though, because Ive checked back several times throughout the day since it’s been sold out and certain sizes pop back up.
Along with outerwear, I look out for sweaters. These are my top six choices, but I haven’t gotten anything yet since I can’t decide. I’m leaning towards THIS or THIS one though because of the fun sleeves.
Oh my gosh to the activewear selection on sale this year! I’m not really into the Adidas fad happening right now, but THIS sweater looks so comfy for fall weekends. And can somebody give me tips on how to pull off THESE socks, because I want them so bad! I’ve got a few of the items shown above in my cart because after my trip to Hawaii, I desperately need a good incentive to work out. I don’t know about you, but nothing motivates me more to be active than some new workout wear.
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is a great time to get a pair of brand name jeans for a great price. Brands like Rag and Bone and Citizens of Humanity are so comfy but also pretty pricey, so the sale helps out a girl’s wallet a lot. I also linked some great skirts that I’m loving, including THIS skirt in Wink Wink 600 that I got last fall and am so excited to pull back out. I got it in my regular size 25 and it’s a little loose.
I don’t usually buy tops from the Anniversary Sale, but here are some of my top picks from the sale. I included some statement pieces as well as some simple pieces to stock up on for fall. THIS top would be so pretty for date night!
If I could buy all of these dresses and rompers, I totally would. I spy a lot of warm and blush colors for fall and I’m loving it. I’m in need of a good midi slip dress, so I’m totally eyeing THIS one and THIS one.
The accessories sale is pretty underwhelming this year, except for THIS Madewell Transport Tote. It’s a big deal cause it’s RARE for their transport tote to go on sale. My boyfriend bought me the brown leather one four years ago and it’s my most used purse. It’s the perfect every day and travel purse.
