The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale can be so overwhelming. With just three days left until Public Access, I wanted to share my Anniversary Sale tips and strategies. My general rule when it comes to this sale is to focus on what I actually need and will use. I barely look through some categories, such as beauty, jewelry, and handbags, because I don’t usually need anything in those departments. But clothes and shoes, those I can always use more of!
nordstrom anniversary sale strategies
Step 1: This step is actually before you start manically adding items to your cart/dressing room. Look through your closet to refresh your memory of what you have and what you don’t have.
Step 2: Make a list of things you’ve actually been wanting or needing.
Step 3: Now it’s shopping time! I always start with outerwear (jackets, cardigans, etc.) and shoes first because when you’re gearing up for fall, those can be the most expensive. A good coat can be $200+, but the sale can make it much more affordable, like this Kensie Faux Shearling Coat and Halogen Boucle Coat that I got.
Step 4: The next thing I look into are things I actually have been wanting or needing, basics, and practical items I will wear year round. So, socks, underwear, basic tops, jeans, and activewear. Besides what I shared from this blog post, I also picked up this BP Tee (true to size) and BP Dress (true to size).
I went into my local Nordstrom a few days ago to scope out what was selling out fast. These are some items that I saw limited sizes in or were popular in the dressing room. Make sure to snag this comfy and cute dress because it was just restocked today!
nordstrom anniversary sale tips
#1: Shopping in person can be much better than shopping online. I personally find that a lot of Nordstrom pieces are cuter in person than photographed on their website.
#2: When in doubt, just get it! I wasn’t sure if I’d like some of the items I ordered, but I ordered them anyway since I can always return what I don’t like. Better to be safe than sorry!
#4: If you want something and it is sold out, don’t be disappointed! Be persistent and keep checking up on it several times throughout the day or days. A lot of items and sizes will restock.
