My April and May beauty roundup is almost an entire month late, but better late than never right? Today, I’m reviewing majority of my Sephora spring sale purchases as well as other beauty products I tried during the last two months of spring. Below is a quick overview of the products I’ll be reviewing.

LANEIGE GLOWY MAKEUP SERUM

This makeup serum is really more of a makeup product than a skincare product. It’s an enjoyable primer, but an underwhelming serum. The unique ingredient of diamond mineral powder creates a dewy glow while ceramide hydration gel provides moisture. It’s on par with other primers I have, but I actually like wearing this on its own on no makeup days. I would not recommend this as a serum, but it’s a fun primer to play around with.

💖 lightweight⁣  💖 no scent  💖 not oily⁣  💖 gives a healthy, subtle glow  💖 makes skin feel smooth⁣

RATING: 4/5

PETER THOMAS ROTH WATER DRENCH HYALURONIC HYDRATING MOISTURIZER SPF 45

I’ve been a longtime fan of Peter Thomas Roth’s Water Drench Moisturizer (featured here), so I was ecstatic to be part of their new SPF version launch (seen here). It’s the same cream to water consistency with hyaluronic acid, just now with SPF 45 and in a pump bottle. It has quickly become an important step in my morning routine. This is a great moisturizer for summer if you have dry or combination skin.

💖 light texture  💖 non-greasy  💖 blends seamlessly⁣  💖 long lasting hydration  💖 no sunscreen scent

RATING: 5/5

KATE SOMERVILLE GOAT MILK MOISTURIZING CLEANSER

This highly rated milk moisturizing cleanser is another product that has become an essential step in my morning routine. This creamy cleanser is infused with goat milk and manuka honey that soothes and nurtures dry, sensitive skin. I love this cleanser and will definitely repurchase. For others out there with dry skin, swapping out gel or foaming cleansers with a milk cleanser makes a big difference.

💖 nice scent  💖 soothing and gentle  💖 hydrating  💖  cleanses without stripping skin  💖 cruelty free

RATING: 5/5

TATCHA DEWY SKIN CREAM

I love Tatcha’s Water Cream for day time, and their Dewy Cream is just as good for night time. Over night, my skin soaks up a blend of Japanese purple rice, Okinawa algae blend, and hyaluronic acid. The cream also replenishes ceramides that reinforce your skin’s barrier. Results are evident in the morning when I wake up with plumper and softer skin. This moisturizer is on the pricey end, but worth it in my opinion. Some nights I make an intensely hydrating concoction by mixing this with Herbivore’s Orchid Oil (mentioned last here).

💖 rich consistency  💖 non-greasy  💖 nice scent  💖 deeply nourishing  💖 dewy finish  💖 cruelty free

RATING: 5/5

OLE HENRIKSEN GLOW CYCLE RETIN-ALT POWER SERUM

This potent lavender colored serum has been a game changer for me. I’ve been wary about trying retinol, so this serum was a great alternative since it contains a plant based retinol alternative, bakuchiol. I can’t compare it to retinol results, but I love this serum. Most notably, this has improved my skin’s texture and gives me an incredible, lasting glow. Overall, my skin looks and feels younger and healthier. Other reviews say that this serum is enhanced even more if combined with the Goodnight Glow Retin-ALT Sleeping Cream, so I’ll probably try that night cream next. This is an amazing option if you’re looking for a retinol alternative.

💖 nice scent  💖 youth boosting  💖 effective  💖 instantly brightening  💖 clean ingredients

RATING: 5/5

YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE SUPERBERRY HYDRATE + GLOW DREAM MASK

This mask has become my favorite and most effective overnight mask. It’s a soft, velvety texture that smells like a Creamsicle. It’s packed with amazing ingredients, such as squalane, hyaluronic acid, kombucha black tea ferment, lactic acid, and glycolic acid. These powerful ingredients are what makes this the ideal mask. It exfoliates, hydrates, revitalizes, and defends skin. If you’re looking for one mask that does it all, this is the one for you.

💖 rich texture  💖 results in smooth, radiant skin  💖 cruelty free  💖 vegan

RATING: 5/5

SUPERGOOP HANDSCREEN SPF 40

This is by far my favorite hand cream. One of the reasons why I love this one over others is because it has SPF. It also contains argan oil, which my skin loves. Using SPF in your hand cream is a great preventative to aging hands. If your hands are dry due to constant hand washing, I highly recommend this hand cream.

💖 nourishing  💖 no greasy residue  💖 naturally fragrant  💖 vegan  💖 cruelty free

RATING: 5/5

THE ORDINARY NIACINAMIDE + ZINC

I tried my first The Ordinary product a few months ago. I was so impressed that I purchased their Niacinamide + Zinc solution shortly after. Unfortunately, this product did not agree with my skin as it broke me out all over my forehead. Apparently this is a common reaction based on other reviews. I’ll stick to my niacinamide serum from Versed instead, which I reviewed here.

RATING: 0/5

In April and May, I found some skin changing products that are now essentials in my skincare routine. I hope these reviews helped you. If you have any questions, feel free to comment below. Thank you for following along my skincare journey!
