When I started my clean beauty journey a few years ago, I was determined to find non-toxic and cruelty free makeup products that I felt good about purchasing and putting on my skin. It took a lot of trial and error, but I’m excited to finally share that I’ve found an easy everyday clean makeup routine that works for me. All the makeup products linked are currently part of Sephora’s Spring Savings Event. Use code SAVESPRING before the sale ends on April 11.

My Easy Everyday Clean Makeup Routine

PRIMER

I switch off between Supergoop’s Glow Screen, Unseen Sunscreen, and Mineral Sheerscreen as my primer. I use Glow Screen when I want a dewier look and Unseen Sunscreen or Mineral Sheerscreen when I want a more natural look. All three are hydrating and do a great job at prepping my skin for makeup to go on smoothly. I use them on my no makeup days as well.

FOUNDATION

I don’t use foundation often, but when I do it’s always Merit’s The Minimalist Stick. The Minimalist provides light to medium coverage and doubles as a foundation and concealer. I use the shade Ecru, and I love how it looks and feels natural. Just make sure to properly moisturize before to ensure seamless blending. For non-foundation days, Saie’s Slip Tint Tinted Moisturizer is my go to for an easy dewy look. I use the shade Three + Half, which is a bit darker than my natural skin color. It’s made with amazing ingredients, including hyaluronic acid and SPF, and I love how easy it is to apply.

BRONZER

Tower 28’s Bronzino Illuminating Cream Bronzer in West Coast gives me an effortless, warm glow. I’m not great at makeup, so I personally find cream bronzers harder to apply than powder ones. I found my previous bronzer, Benefit’s Hoola Matte Bronzer (not clean), very easy to apply. I love Bronzino, but I want to try a clean powder bronzer to see if it would be a better fit for me.

HIGHLIGHTER

I live for a good highlighter, and Merit’s Day Glow Highlighting Balm is it for me. The color Cava is so gorgeous and illuminating. I love how creamy and easy to blend this highlighter is. It gives me such a dewy glow without looking glittery. Like Merit’s other products, it comes in a rounded applicator, making application easy and convenient.

BLUSH

I switch off between Tower 28’s BeachPlease Cream Blush in Magic Hour and Merit’s Flush Balm Cream Blush in Beverly Hills. Both of these blushes are creamy, beautifully pigmented, and easy to blend. The BeachPlease Blush is more versatile as you can also use it on your lips. It is also the more affordable out of the two. The Flush Balm is the more portable and convenient option with its rounded applicator. I really love both, so I can’t say that one is better than the other.

EYE MAKEUP

Merit’s Clean Lash Mascara and Ilia’s Clean Line Liquid Eyeliner are my holy grails for eye makeup. I’ve been a victim to raccoon eyes since I was a teenager because of my oily eyelids. It took over a decade, but I’ve finally found a duo that works for me. The Clean Line Eyeliner helps me create a perfect winged look. The Clean Lash Mascara gives life to my short and stubborn lashes. Neither of these products smudge and they both stay flawless throughout the day.

LIP PRODUCTS

Lip products may be the most exciting part of my makeup routine for me. I love a glossy look over lipstick. Below are my favorite lip oils and lip glosses. I always use Summer Fridays’ Lip Butter Balm as my base, even on no makeup days. It is so hydrating and makes my lips plump and juicy.
