With Christmas just a week away, I am gearing up for all the holiday festivities. Whether you’re on your own or staying within your quarantine bubble this holiday season, here are 7 ways to get in the Christmas spirit.

Marble Tray • Gingerbread Toppers

1. DIY HOT CHOCOLATE BAR

Setting up a hot chocolate bar is a fun way to get in the Christmas spirit and will be a festive addition to any Christmas celebration. I set one up at home a few weekends ago using our milk frother, peppermint hot chocolate, gingerbread toppers, and various marshmallows. Below are some items to spruce up your at home hot chocolate bar.

2. CHRISTMAS MOVIE MARATHON

We love ourselves a cozy Christmas movie marathon. Stay in your pajamas, indulge in holiday snacks, sip hot chocolate, and relax. We all deserve a do-nothing kind of day.

3. BAKE COOKIES

For the past few years, Tim and I have been making gingerbread cookies during the holidays. This year, we will continue that tradition as well as try out Trader Joe’s Peppermint Chocolate Chunk Cookie Mix. A cookie exchange between friends or virtual cookie baking would be fun for anyone alone on the holidays.

4. MAKE CHRISTMAS COCKTAILS

This year, I’m in the mood to try new recipes so we’ll be making these holiday gin and tonics. Check out Pinterest for other Christmas cocktail recipes.

5. GIVE BACK

The holiday season is a great opportunity to give back to those in need. If you’re looking for ideas on how and where to give back, check out my post here. If you’re still shopping for Christmas presents and want to give back in that way, check out my gift guide on gifts and brands that give back here. Doing good always makes me feel good.

6. MAKE A HOLIDAY PLAYLIST

Make a holiday playlist and play it every day until Christmas. I especially love blasting holiday music while cooking or wrapping presents.

7. HAVE A VIRTUAL GIFT WRAPPING PARTY

If you haven’t wrapped your gifts yet, call up a friend or family member and schedule a virtual gift wrapping party. Even though we can’t be together physically with our loved ones, we can still spend the holidays with them the best we can.
