Fall is my favorite season, and I’ve been patiently waiting for cooler weather to arrive in Southern California. I’ve already channeled fall vibes into my home, see post here, but I haven’t fully transitioned my wardrobe since it’s usually still hot until November hits. In the meantime, I’ll continue wearing my favorite summer pieces as we ease into this new season. Continue below to see how I’m transitioning summer favorites into fall.
To make my favorite summer shorts fall appropriate, I’ve swapped my usual basic top with something knitted. It’s usually a sweater top or the occasional light sweater during mornings or evenings. These tops can also be easily paired with denim shorts or skirts. Below are a few other cute options.
I’m not saying goodbye to my denim shorts just yet. Instead, I’m pairing them with long sleeve bodysuits for an easy transitional look. My white long sleeve bodysuit is a couple years old and limited in sizes, but it’s available in brown and black. Below are some other basic long sleeve bodysuit options. I’m loving this color for fall.
Another summer piece I won’t be parting with anytime soon are my dresses. I’ll throw on a neutral colored cardigan to keep myself cozy while working from home. Neutral colored cardigans are a classic and can be worn no matter the season. Check out these cozy neutral cardigans below.
